Date:

Now at the five feature film mark, Swedish filmmaker Tarik Saleh reunites with his The Nile Hilton Incident (2017) star a scruffy Fares Fares for his first film on the Croisette and to compete in the comp. Boy From Heaven features Tawfeek Barhom in a narrative filled with more catch 22’s you can shake a stick at.

Set in an historical site in Cairo, we find a thriller where one’s moral compass and faith is constantly being shaken, stirred and put to the test and when the power to make change becomes a trump card then only true change can occur. Here it’s the woke that are leading the blind. Eqypt’s religious and political elite don’t come unscathed.
