2025 DGA Award Noms: Jacques Audiard, Sean Baker & Brady Corbet Jockey for Gold

It’ll be non fisticuffs round between Jacques Audiard, Sean Baker and Brady Corbet. and it’s worth mentioning the Oscars aren’t too far behind. The Directors Guild of America (DGA) nominations are out and among the group of five we also find Edward Berger and James Mangold in competition for the Best Director award. While Anora didn’t pick up any awards at the Golden Globes it’s widely understood that he might have a chance at grabbing this award. In the First-Time filmmaker category we find Payal Kapadia — which means the winners of Palme d’Or (Anora), Grand Prix (All We Imagine as Light) and Jury Prize (Emilia Pérez) are all present here.
