Our chief film critic Nicholas Bell offers his top ten in a (film) year are unlikely to forget. As per usual, this middle point assessment of the best films includes theatrical (and virtual cinema) releases for 2020, and film festival films that may or may not receive distribution stateside. We find several female auteurs and a large swath of American independent film offerings.
