Absurdist auteur par excellence, Quentin Dupieux has thrown us some clapperboard proof that Kristen Stewart, Woody Harrelson, Emma Mackey, Charlotte Le Bon, Nassim Lyes, Tim Heidecker and (re-teaming with Wrong Cops) Eric Wareheim are part of the ensemble for his next feature film. The filmmaker just announced via his socials. Titled Full Phil, this new oeuvre appears to be an exclusively English affair, we know he had a script in hand as of 2023. Regular collabs in producer Hugo Sélignac and Art Director Joan Le Boru are onboard — Siriusmo provides the music.
While we don’t have a log-line (usually we learn about the premise just before a major film festival) this will likely feature illogical premises, deadpan surrealism and might take jabs as a meta commentary. Imagine if this and say the Zellner Bros.’ Alpha Gang hit the Croisette next May?
