Top 200 Most Anticipated Foreign Films of 2023: #93. Alex Garland’s Civil War

Date:

Civil War

Weeks before premiering Men in Cannes in the Directors’ Fortnight section, Alex Garland jumped into his fourth feature film (and third A24 project) working in Atlanta at first and then London for a project set in a near future America and which the filmmaker considers a companion piece to his last film. Civil War sees the likes of Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Cailee Spaeny, Karl Glusman, Sonoya Mizuno and Jonica T. Gibbs. The project is produced by Gregory Goodman, Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich.

Gist: The plot is currently unknown.

Release Date/Prediction: We see the A24 circle an autumn date and perhaps bypass the film fest circuit.
