2021 Sundance Film Festival Predictions: John Madden’s Operation Mincemeat

Date:

An acquisitions friendly title from across the pound with all the production value trimmings that we feel would have normally splashed in the Premieres section, veteran helmer John Madden began filming Operation Mincemeat back in December of 2019 in London and then Spain. Starring Colin Firth, Matthew Macfadyen, Kelly Macdonald, Tom Wilkinson, Penelope Wilton, Jason Isaacs and Johnny Flynn, this true life WWII story is quite remarkable.

Gist: This depicts the events surrounding the World War II plan Operation Mincemeat, a deception effort to keep the Allied invasion of Sicily hidden.

Production Co./Producers: Iain Canning, Charles S. Cohen, Emile Sherman, Kris Thykier.
