Video: Andrew Haigh’s Lean on Pete – 2017 TIFF Post Screening Q&A

After being showcased at Venice, TIFF (where we were on hand) and SXSW, A24 releases Lean on Pete in theatres this weekend. There is not much horsing around in Andrew Haigh‘s fourth feature film, which comes after critically praised Weekend and 45 Years. The road trip, coming-of-age journey where we feel the alienation of the young teen with a set of alienating circumstances bolted in familiar set of scapes was the winner of the Marcello Mastroianni Award (best actor at the Venice Film Festival. Charlie Plummer toplines this art-house drama. The premiere took place at the Bell Lightbox, with a lengthy post screening Q&A below with Haigh and Plummer.

Eric Lavallée is the founder, CEO, editor-in-chief, film journalist, and critic at IONCINEMA.com, established in 2000. He is a Golden Globes Voter.
