Roskam‘s latest while at the Venice Film Festival calling his cinema “marked by reticence and doomed choices, with characters often at war with their own narrative”. Racer and the Jailbird would have its North American premiere to an animated Ryerson crowd, with a talky Matthias Schoenaerts and Adèle Exarchopoulos assisting with the Q&A. Personally I’m not a fan, but NEON will test the waters with this double life lived pursuit for happiness at some point in the 2018 calendar.
