Top 100 Most Anticipated American Independent Films of 2019: #14. Untitled Noah Baumbach project

Date:

A film that Netflix could have easily placed in the 2018 calendar, Noah Baumbach‘s still untitled project might just follow in the footsteps of The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) and head to Cannes – if the policy in place does get adjusted. Production took place in March of 2018 with a cast comprised of Scarlett Johansson, Adam Driver, Ray Liotta, Laura Dern. Baumbach reteams with cinematographer Robbie Ryan for a tale that takes place on both coastal major metropolitan American cities.

Gist: The story follows an unfolding divorce that spans from New York City to Los Angeles.

Release Date/Prediction: If we’re still going by last year’s Netflix and Cannes impasse, Cannes should be out of the equation. In a year where Roma is the Oscar front-runner, perhaps some new rule with be implemented.
