SYNOPSIS

This is based on the bestseller by former Philadelphia Inquirer journalist Jennifer Weiner. The story follows the sibling rivalry between an irresponsible party girl, who'll be played by Diaz, and her sister, an ambitious attorney, who move in together. Trouble begins when the Diaz character beds the boyfriend of the older sister. She is thrown out of the apartment and moves into the Princeton U. library, living in a study room and sleeping under carrels. Collette will play a straitlaced attorney who is forced to house her underemployed party girl of a sister (Diaz). MacLaine will play their grandmother, with Mark Feuerstein also joining the cast as the love interest of Collette's character.
